Community Outreach
CNYAMT is excited about our Community Outreach Program. We share the talents of many of our students and their teachers at area homecare facilities. It is a rewarding experience to see the joy on the faces of many residents, who cannot go out to concerts or recitals anymore, as the performers bring the music to them. We like to have a variety of instrumentalists, pianists and vocalists. Students and teachers are welcome to perform. This is a great opportunity for students needing a community service, as well. Depending on the response, each studio may be limited to 10 minutes of performance time.
Please contact the chairperson of the recital if you would like participate.

On June 27th, 2024, six CNYAMT competition winners performed for the residents and friends of The Nottingham. There were about 70 in attendance and the concert was well received. Several residents expressed their gratitude for bringing such outstanding young musicians into their home. Vocalists Jack Chin, Harper Shute, Lala Sharples and Ava Tyler, along with cellist Abby Feng and violinist Dan Yang, were supported by our collaborative pianist of the evening, Robbie Padilla. The varied program carried interest throughout and the applause for a group bow at the finale was strong and enthusiastic.
On Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, seven of our CNYAMT 2024 competitions winners performed two charmingly varied outreach concerts for the residents and guests of The Oaks at Menorah Park and for the residents and guests of The Nottingham. Our participating young artists were: Hudson Brenner and Irena Li, piano; Andrea Iqbal and Maddy Hilt, flute; Maddy and Will Lesser, voice; Will, clarinet; Justin Liu, euphonium; and Abby Feng, cello. They are the students of nine of our CNYAMT members (two study voice and an instrument). They were accompanied by Dr. Dan Sato, the designated collaborative pianist for the events, and by Ya-Wei Tseng, Justin's mother. The programs were enthusiastically received by both audiences, and everyone clearly enjoyed time well spent. Several audience members made a point of offering personal thanks for the opportunity to experience such delightful programs in their residences.
